About Spoor & Co

Christopher Spoor & Kathryn Moss are a father and daughter team who specialise in residential conveyancing, mortgages, transfers of equity and the registration of unregistered property.

Chris has over 50 years’ experience in Property Law and is well respected in the local area for his wealth of knowledge and advice. After graduating from Southampton University he worked as a solicitor in a variety of legal roles before specialising in Conveyancing.

He set up his own firm, Spoor & Co, in 1996 and worked as a sole practitioner before being joined by his daughter Kate in 2012.

Kate graduated from Leicester University in 1998 following which she moved to London and worked in customer relations in the Energy and then Broadcasting industries.

Whilst taking time out to start a family, Kate began building a portfolio of rental properties specialising in HMOs and renovations. Her interest in property led her back to Northamptonshire to work with her father and in 2018 she qualified with the CLC as a Licensed Conveyancer, the following year Kate and Chris formed the partnership.

Kate and Chris are supported by their experienced assistants, Fiona, Sadie and Sheena.

Sheena has worked as a legal secretary for many years and has been a loyal assistant to Chris since the formation of Spoor & Co in 1995. She now works part time in accounts.

Fiona joined the team in …. as a receptionist, and now specialises in residential property sales, first registrations and post-completion matters.

Sadie joined the team in …. and works on reception fielding calls and assisting with general enquiries. Sadie is also responsible for setting up new matters, issuing contracts and assisting clients in completing their…
